Read an alert end to end
A field walkthrough of every field on a SpotX alert card, in the order you should read them.
Read direction and score first, cluster size and dominance second, liquidity and risk flags last. If the first three do not agree, skip it.
An alert card carries every input the engine used to publish it. That is deliberate: you should be able to disagree with us in under ten seconds. This guide walks the card in the order we read it internally.
1. Direction and pattern
Direction tells you which side the cluster took. Pattern tells you what shape the behaviour had: accumulation is fresh buying into a token the cluster was not previously holding, rotation is capital leaving one position and arriving in another, early exit is the cluster reducing before price reacts, and new LP is liquidity being added to a young pool. Rotation fires most often; accumulation is rarer and usually scores higher.
2. Score and band
The score is a weighted composite of wallet quality, independence, size relative to available liquidity, timing tightness and token risk. Anything below 65 is never published. The band is a coarse reading of the same number so you do not have to remember thresholds.
3. Cluster size, dominance and window
Cluster size is the number of independent labelled wallets involved. Dominance is the share of the token flow in the window that came from those wallets — high dominance means the move was theirs, not the market's. Window is how long the clustered activity took; tighter windows mean stronger coordination.
4. Notional and average wallet quality
Notional is the dollar value the cluster moved. Read it against liquidity rather than in isolation: $300k into a $4m pool is a very different event from $300k into a $90m pool. Average wallet quality is the mean historical score of the wallets in the cluster.
5. Liquidity and risk flags
Liquidity is the pool depth at publication. Risk flags surface anything the risk gate penalised but did not reject outright — thin liquidity, high holder concentration, young pool age. Flags are not a veto; they are the reason a score is lower than the cluster alone would suggest.
6. Provenance
Every alert links to the transactions behind it. If a claim on the card cannot be reproduced from those hashes, treat the card as wrong and report it.
